AIRPORT

GRB was the first Wisconsin airport to earn the Global Biorisk Advisory Council’s (GBAC) STAR™ accreditation.

Through this accreditation, GRB has created and maintained an effective cleaning, disinfection, and infectious disease prevention program. To achieve GBAC STAR accreditation, GRB demonstrated compliance with the program’s 20 elements, which range from standard operating procedures and risk assessment strategies, to personal protective equipment, emergency preparedness and response measures. The GBAC STAR Accreditation Council determines the status of all GBAC STAR facilities.

As another safety measure, GRB installed several NoviSphere™ PE 254 units. These high-performance UV pathogen eradication units greatly reduce the risk of contamination and infection in enclosed spaces. Each unit leverages proven scientific methods to continuously remove viral and bacteriological material, as well as other airborne contaminants, resulting in cleaner environments.

GRB installed KONE Handrail Sanitizer within both of the airport escalators. This chemical-free sanitizing system uses ultraviolet light to consistently disinfect escalator handrails. You can have peace-of-mind knowing that escalator handrails have been sanitized for your safety.

TSA Clean Checkpoints

Frontline employees follow TSA guidance through routine cleaning and disinfecting of frequently touched surfaces and security screening equipment at the TSA security checkpoint. TSA is also taking additional efforts to clean bins.
