Positive Contributions to our Regional Economy
As a self-funded enterprise with a $12.8 million operating budget, Austin Straubel International Airport has no impact on the tax levy of Brown County. But it does have an impact on the economic growth and quality of life throughout northeastern Wisconsin.
Austin Straubel International Airport could be called the economic doorway to northeastern Wisconsin, providing job opportunities for more than 700 people and contributing more than $111 million to the regional economy.
Attached is the 2010 Economic Impact Study performed by the Wisconsin Department of Transportation, which details the impact the Airport has on the local and state economy.
